The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on August 26, 2026, issued a Circular requiring every Fund Management Entity (FME) registered under the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025, to maintain a website or webpage for transparency, information dissemination, and investor access. The Circular will come into force from December 01, 2026.
The following has been stated:
Authorised FMEs and Registered FMEs (Non-Retail) may maintain either an independent website or a dedicated webpage on their parent/group entity's website.
Registered FMEs (Retail) must maintain an independent official website dedicated to their IFSC fund management activities.
The website/webpage must be publicly accessible without registration or login and clearly identify the FME, its IFSCA registration number and IFSC activities.
FMEs must disclose key information including their profile, registered office and contact details, schemes/funds managed, service providers, investor grievance mechanism, key managerial personnel, regulatory disclosures and material regulatory/enforcement actions.
Retail FMEs must additionally disclose scheme documents, portfolio and performance information, NAV, expense ratios, valuation policy, unclaimed amounts, Investor Charter and investor education material.
Disclosures must be in English, specify the relevant currency, date and time zone, show the last updated date, and where feasible be available in downloadable/machine-readable formats. Information must remain accessible for at least three years, including after winding-up of the scheme. Existing FMEs must intimate their website/webpage URL to IFSCA by December 01, 2026 and report subsequent changes through quarterly filings.
FMEs registered on or after the Circular's effective date must comply before commencing fund management activities and provide the URL within 30 days of registration.
